The University DraftHouse Beer Fest is the most sought after Beer Festival in Edinburg, Texas!

With the purchase of your University DraftHouse Beer Fest ticket, you will receive a sampling card redeemable for (24) 1 oz beers.

Why?

The state of Texas and the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission does not allow “unlimited tasting” events. The maximum amount of beer Texas allows to be sold at any one time is 24 ounces. We don’t like the 24 oz. limit either, but rules are rules.

To provide the children of Law Enforcement Officers with scholarships for higher educational attainment.

About the foundation

The Espericueta family started the Speedy Memorial Foundation to honor the memory of their loved one: Joey (‘Speedy’ as he was affectionately known in the community), a police officer at the City of Mission PD who lost his life in the line of duty on June 20, 2019.

The Foundation was built upon the mantra: Honor, Integrity, Service; which will continue Speedy’s legacy of education and love of his community.

A Family Man

Speedy was an honorable man of many titles. He was a loving husband and father, a beloved son and brother, and a distinguished friend and officer at Mission PD. At work, he enjoyed teaching rookies, mentoring colleagues, and serving his community. At home, he enjoyed spending time with his family, BBQing, and emphatically cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

A True Action Hero

When Speedy wasn’t inside the classroom leading a training course or out and about patrolling the community, you could see him on A&E’s Live PD and National Geographic’s Border Wars TV shows. That’s right, our very own hometown hero was also a true action hero on TV.
